Safeguarding of Young Children and Vulnerable Adults

We have a safeguarding policy in place to protect young children and vulnerable adults that come under our care once on site at Guildford Spectrum.  We have a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in place and should you have any concerns with regards to any welfare or safeguarding issues please contact our DSL, Natalie Kirk; natalie.kirk@freedom-leisure.co.uk

In order to achieve our safeguarding commitments for our visitors we commit to:

  • Enabling all children and adults participating in any activity at Guildford Spectrum (regardless of background, gender, age, ethnicity, ability or socio-economic status) to do so in a safe environment.
  • Ensuring that our colleagues who work with children or vulnerable adults have the appropriate training and relevant DBS checks in line with our internal policies and procedures.
  • Delivering training to our colleagues relating to our safeguarding policy and to ensure they are fully aware of the escalation process when concerns are raised.
  • Providing our colleagues and customers the opportunity to raise concerns in a private and confidential manner relating to any concerns over welfare.
  • Ensuring that GDPR polices relating to safeguarding are stored in a secure manner.

If you have any questions or concerns relating to welfare, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead.
