Peter Pan on Ice - A Fantastic Show!

This year's Pantomime - Peter Pan - was a resounding success with six sell out performances and over 11,000 people attending over the weekend.

The entire cast and crew worked tirelessly to create many 'mesmerising moments'! The annual show is produced and choreographed by Ruth Woodstock and Melissa Galvin. Together they auditioned, trained, coached and mentored the whole cast and brought to the ice a magnificent spectacle unrivalled in the region.

The cast is made up of adults and children who are under skating instruction at the leisure complex. They range from novices to some of the best young skaters that the UK has to offer but all of them passionate, dedicated and so enthusiastic to be involved in a production of this scale.

Shows like this take months of preparation and organisation and the Ice staff and teams of volunteers are well versed on the technical aspects from lighting and sound to costume making and set building.

We'd like to pass our thanks to them and also to all the thousands who came to watch the show. The atmosphere was incredible and we are already looking forward to next year's December show which will be......  Sleeping Beauty!

We would also like to express our thanks to the British Heart Foundation who were in reception with their Teddy Tombola!

Enormous thanks also to Creative Mind Productions who entertained the audiences with a pre-pantomime performance of beautiful Christmas carols whilst raising funds for their charity.

Wishing you a happy and healthy Christmas - see you again in 2020!
