Catering Operations Manager

 

We’re on the lookout for an experienced people manager to join our dedicated team fuelling the fun and fitness at Guildford Spectrum.

As our Catering operations manager you’ll be vital in both the day to day operation of the catering department and developing the strategy for the department to continue to succeed. As well as managing and developing a passionate team, you will strive to deliver memorable guest experiences on a daily basis and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and compliance, gaining 5 star ratings across the site.

On a normal day (if you can call it that) you’ll be both supporting the operation right now as well as planning for the future. You will be vital in leading the people management across the department, as well as being the point of contact for your team, suppliers and other managers across the business.

Due to the varied nature of the role, we’ll need you to use your knowledge to problem-solve effectively, implement best practice, and even create new ideas to drive the business forward and increase revenue within the department. You’ll also heavily contribute to delivering the full potential of the catering department across Guildford Spectrum. To make these experiences truly unique, we’ll need you to have excellent leadership skills as well as an outstanding rapport with our guests.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn and develop personally alongside experienced industry professionals as well as completing valuable training. You will be expected to achieve your Personal Licence, Food Safety Level 3, Level 2 City & Guilds barista skills, first aid at work and leadership qualifications.

Alongside your daily duties we’ll need you to maintain the highest standards of health and safety and you’ll have a working knowledge of safe working practices to ensure we are protecting our guests and ourselves at all times.

Hours: 37.5 hrs a week, Monday to Sunday - Rota basis

Salary: up to £25,915.00 pa
