Children's Hockey Courses

Basic Junior Hockey Course.

This course is for children who are skate level 3 upwards and want to start to learn to skate in Hockey Skates. This will prepare skaters for enrolment onto the Advanced Junior Hockey Course once they have gained Level 5 certification and / or the instructor advices them to move to the advanced course (Wednesday 6.15pm)


Please note you will not be taught how to play an Ice Hockey game but will be coached how to skate in Hockey Skates including, forward, backwards and stopping etc.  No equipment is required however you must have and wear your own Hockey Skates.

Learn to Skate for Junior Hockey

4.30pm - 5.00pm

6 - 8 years


Wednesdays

   

Learn to Skate for Junior Hockey

4.00pm - 4.30pm 8 - 10 years

Learn to Skate for Junior Hockey

4.30pm - 5.00pm 10 - 12 years

Thursdays

   

Learn to Skate for Junior Hockey

4.15pm - 4.45pm 8 - 12 years

Advanced Junior Hockey Course

To be eligible to commence onto the Advanced Ice Hockey Course you must have completed either Skate Level 5 or have advanced from the basis Junior Hockey Course (see above). Helmets MUST be worn at all times. 


Skaters must have their own hockey skates, hockey stick, hockey gloves and hockey helmet with full cage/mask. 

Skaters will be grouped into the following age groups:

Under 9's, Under 11's, 12 - 16 years

Children over 16yrs will not be permitted to complete more than 1 school term.

Please note: Skaters already on the Junior Hockey Development programme are not permitted to enrol for these courses.  

 

 Wednesdays

   

Advanced Ice Hockey must have completed Level 5 

6.15 - 7.00pm  5 - 16 years 


Proof of successful completion of skate UK level 5 is required.
