Spectrum Pools - FAN-SPLASH-TIC!

Spectrum has a magnificent complex of four pools with a variety of sessions for beginners and splashers, to serious swimmers and divers.

Spectrum Pools will be taking part in the British Gas Free Family Swim promotion from September '09 to March '10. Vouchers can be redeemed for a free family swim Monday to Friday during Swim for All sessions (including Ready, Steady Splash), term time only.  (excluding dates; Monday 26th to Friday 30th October, Monday 21st December to Friday 1st January and Monday 15th to 19th February '10)

Pool Safety - Please read before your visit.

All children under nine years of age must be accompanied in the water by an adult, only two children under nine years to every adult. When both children are under four years of age a ratio of one adult to one child is required. NB During a toddler splash session, children aged under 4 can be accompanied by an adult on a one adult to two children basis. An adult is someone aged 16 and over. Please inform the lifeguard if anyone in your group suffers from a medical condition. e.g. epilepsy. There is disabled visitor access to all pools and two chair hoists are available to gain access to the competition pool. Please do not hesitate to ask if you require assistance.

Leisure Pool
The Leisure Pool is an exciting area with fun features including flumes, a tyre ride, bubble beds, sprays and a wave machine. You can also race your friends on the Surf, our 3 lane slide.

At peak times a coloured band system operates in the leisure pool. A minimum of 90 minutes is allocated to your visit to the Pools subject to opening hours and capacities.

At peak times the wave machine operates for five minutes in every thirty.  During off-peak sessions the wave machine operates for five minutes once an hour.   The Whizz and and Surf slides are not available during off-peak times. 

Slide Height Guidelines
For The Surf and Aqua Whizz, riders must be over 1 metre tall to use the slide.  For the Ramp, riders must be under 1 metre tall to use the slide.

Private Hire
The leisure pool is available for private hire on Friday and Saturday nights. Click here for more details.

Pool Changing Areas
The newly refurbished changing areas for all four pools are situated adjacent to Pool Reception. The area has family cubicles, disabled cubicles, unisex and separate male and female changing rooms.

NPLQ
Guildford Spectrum runs a number of Royal Life Saving Society, National Pool Lifeguard Qualification courses each year. The courses run Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm with an exam on the Saturday. Course Fee:  £230.00
