To be eligible to start Level 1 Hockey Skate, children must have successfully completed Level 5 of the Skate UK programme - please see children's ice skating courses.

These courses are intended to improve basic skating techniques.  Whilst it is hoped for this to progress to the 'Flames Junior Development Programme' this cannot be guaranteed due to limited availability of places. A helmet must be worn at all times, skaters should have their own hockey skates and all skaters on level 3 and above must provide their own helmet and full face visor.  We reserve the right to move skaters to classes to suit their needs and abilities. 

Please note: Skaters will be moved to a course suitable for their ability.  Skaters already on the Junior Hockey Development programme are not permitted to enrol for these courses.
